           FUOYE V.C INAUGURATES SRC

The Vice Chancellor of Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Professor Kayode Soremekun has inaugurated Students Representative Council. Conducting the exercise at the council chambers of the institution, Professor Soremekun charged the Representatives to work in harmony with the management in its bit to enhance their welfare. He further challenged them to operate within the ambit of the law by shunning all forms of vices that could distract them from their main purpose in school.


The Vice Chancellor maintained that the student body will serve as a bridge between the management and the entire student community in FUOYE adding that the doors of his administration were always open to listen to the plight of all the students

Also speaking, the Acting Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Gbenga Adeyemi said the formation of the students Representatives Council could not have come at a better time. He expressed the readiness of his office to work closely with the Student body while charging them to always toe the path of dialogue while pushing forward any demands

In his remark, Akinnibosun Abayomi Victor, the Speaker of the Council appreciated the University Management for yielding to their demand for an organized student body assuring that the representatives will adhere to the rules and regulations of FUOYE

The members of SRC are Akinbosun Abayemi Victor, Arunola Folajimi Esan Oluwafemi, Johnson Shedrach and Olatunji Olalekan Felix. Also on the list are Ajanaku Gbenga Titus, Ojumoola Kayode David, Alausa Adeleke, Akinbobose Oludeji, Bamiteko Oluwapamileri M. and Anifowose Tope Samuel. Others are Amure Olatunji and Suleiman Simbiat Abike. The speaker of the Student Representative Council is Akinnibosun Abayomi Victor, the President of the Faculty of Science and a 400 level student. Other structures of the leadership is expected to emerge from among the representatives themselves.
